THE INTERNSHIP - 2023

During this past summer, I had the privilege of interning at Google as a hardware engineering intern—a truly magnificent experience. I had the honor of working alongside a phenomenal team of engineers, each with diverse backgrounds and extensive expertise. Specifically, I contributed to the RF desense team for the Pixel phones. This internship provided me with invaluable hands-on experience with RF equipment, new RF knowledge and a dive into wireless communications, fostering substantial growth in my skill set. I'm extremely fortunate to have this unbeliveable experience in the field that I love! I'm so electrified and thankful!

Google has an amazing work culture!

Google’s interior and decorations were simply incredible. I loved the playful and inviting atmosphere they created across the campus. The captivating art, sculptures, artifacts and hidden Easter eggs I discovered on the various campuses I visited added an extra layer of charm and intrigue to the whole experience. My favorite are the android statues that represent the various android OS release versions.

One of the highlights at Google was riding the iconic Gbikes!! I really enjoyed taking them for a spin around the campus, and they proved to be a lifesaver on a few occasions when I was running late for the bus…

I had the pleasure of commuting using the Gbus, enjoying the morning rides to work on its first level and the evening returns on the second floor. Along the route, I caught sight of landmarks like the 49ers stadium and Intel’s headquarters, adding an extra touch of interest to my daily travels.

After our team lunches, a tradition we loved was heading to the nearest coffee shop for some tasty caffeine. Among all the great options, my go-to was the seasonal honey oat bee latte, a personal favorite. The ritual of savoring the drink on our way back to work with great company added a pleasant touch to our post-lunch routines. Btw the food was amazing as you might be able to tell 😁

I had the incredible opportunity to visit and explore YouTube’s headquarters in San Bruno! It was an amazing experience that holds special significance for me, as so much of my knowledge and learning journey stems from the valuable resources available on YouTube. I met the software engineer responsible for making the play button work!

Google’s Mountain View Campus has an expansive park-like setting, perfect for peaceful walks. Scenic paths go through wooded areas and sometimes small bridges that are nice to cross through.

Google hosted a fantastic national intern day celebration at the Sunnyvale campus, and it was a blast! I snagged some incredible pictures from the photo booths and received adorable android robots that were handed out. Plus, I picked up a cool shirt, though sadly it doesn’t quite fit. They screened “The Internship” and delicious tacos were served!

Thank you Google for the opportunity to work with Googlers and for making my internship an incredible experience! The wealth of invaluable knowledge and practical expertise I gained is immeasurable. I had the pleasure of meeting remarkable people who have become friends.

A special thank you to my incredible team for being extremely kind and awesome!

Their support and encouragement contributed immensely to my growth and success. I am forever grateful for this enriching journey.
